YogaMedics certified yoga therapeutics facilitator, 20+ year practitioner, and someone who believes your body has more capacity to heal than you've been told.
My very first yoga class was in college — a chosen elective. The teacher was 75 years old. That alone stopped me in my tracks. I thought: I want to be her someday. Strong, grounded, completely at ease in her body. And just like that, my yoga journey began.
Fast forward ten years and I heard the call to teach. I enrolled in my first 200-hour teacher training and almost simultaneously completed a second. I loved teaching. But the more I taught, the more curious I became — not just about what yoga does for people, but why. And more importantly: why doesn't it work for some people? Especially the ones who need it most.
"The people who couldn't do a regular yoga class — the ones in real pain, the ones carrying real trauma — those were the people I most wanted to help."
That curiosity led me to YogaMedics. It's a diagnosis-based approach developed by clinical experts — physicians, psychologists, scientists, and yoga instructors — working together to create therapeutic movement built around a specific clinical goal. Not a class you drop into. A practice designed around you.
I also spent years working alongside holistic practitioners specialising in chronic pain — including clinical collaboration that deepened my understanding of how the body holds pain, builds compensatory patterns layer by layer, and — when given the right conditions — learns to let them go.
I work integratively — which means I'm not just looking at your body, I'm looking at your whole system. The nervous system, the patterns it's built over years, the story it's been told about what's safe and what isn't.
Not just where it hurts, but why. Pain is a signal. We follow it to the source — because treating symptoms without addressing the root means the relief never lasts.
Through breath, movement, and therapeutic posture that speaks the body's own language. This isn't exercise. It's a conversation with your nervous system.
The body builds protective tension in layers over time. We don't force it. We create the right conditions and let it unwind at its own pace — which is always faster than you'd expect.
This is not a push-through practice. It's a come-home-to-yourself practice. You set the pace. I meet you there.
